In the golf industry, various types of "fittings" are promoted. However, the vast majority, approximately 99%, fall short of being optimal for several reasons.

To illustrate, consider the following scenario:

Picture yourself stepping into a shoe store to prepare for a hike. However, this particular store carries only one brand, offered in limited sizes of 3, 7, or 9, with just two color variations available. Despite the constrained options, the salesperson will likely attempt to convince you that one of these sizes suits you best. Alternatively, they might force your foot into a shoe and then order a different size without giving you the opportunity to test it for comfort and fit. Moreover, they lack insight into your hiking style, the terrain you plan to tackle, or any physical limitations or injuries you may have. They assure you that these shoes will enhance your hiking experience, although there's no empirical evidence to support this claim. Furthermore, the only options available are dress shoes and sandals, yet you're assured they'll suffice for hiking because some top hikers endorse this brand. Astonishingly, this scenario mirrors the approach taken in most club fittings and sales today.

    Outdoor Demo Days/Fit Carts:

These events are typically promoted online and through posters at driving ranges or golf clubs. A single manufacturer showcases their latest equipment alongside a limited selection of shafts and club heads. A company representative or golf professional guides you through hitting shots with various clubs. However, this method falls short of optimal for several reasons. Firstly, by only testing equipment from one manufacturer, you can never be certain that a club is the perfect fit for you, regardless of initial results. Additionally, the limited resources available at these events, often consisting of standard shafts and heads, fail to accommodate the diverse needs and swing styles of golfers. Moreover, hitting range balls during these fittings provides unreliable data, as range balls differ significantly from standard golf balls in weight, flight, and speed. Without accurate launch monitor data, the assessment of club performance is incomplete. Furthermore, fittings conducted outdoors are susceptible to variables such as wind, temperature, and terrain, compromising the accuracy of performance data.

    Retail Store Fittings:

Employees at retail stores are incentivized to sell golf equipment rather than optimize your game. Their training and equipment knowledge are often limited, and the fitting process lacks a long-term commitment to your improvement as a golfer. Additionally, the availability of fit carts or floor models from different manufacturers prohibits direct comparison between similar products. Other factors, such as taping club faces or deviating from ideal specifications, further undermine the efficacy of these fittings. Most retail employees lack understanding of launch monitor technology and shaft performance characteristics, leading to inaccurate assessments of club and player compatibility. Launch monitors in retail settings may be calibrated to artificially enhance distance, distorting the true performance of clubs. Overall, while some retail fitters may have good intentions, the inherent limitations of this approach compromise the effectiveness of the fitting process.

  • Please bring all your golf clubs and your golf shoes. Seeing your whole set helps us better understand you as a golfer. Make sure to wear clothing that allows you to make a comfortable golf swing. We have both male & female change rooms on-site should you need to get changed.

We believe that spending time with our highly experienced and qualified club fitter ensures you get the most complete and correct information on your clubs, the clubs you’re considering buying, or any amendments you intend to make to your existing equipment.

Unfortunately, we’ve met countless golfers who did not go through a professional fitting process end up with clubs that do not suit them or their swing - hurting their progress and enjoyment of the game. Don’t be one of them, get the expertise, access to extensive resources, and data certainty you need to make any decisions about your golf clubs and game.

  • Prices will vary depending on the brand, number of pieces and unique specs. We ensure the length, loft, lie, total weight, and swing weight are correct for each c.ub The reality of mass-produced clubs sold through most retail channels is that manufacturing tolerances will often cause differences/inconsistencies from club to club. We build every club under a microscope to make sure you never have to doubt your equipment.

You also have the option to further customise your clubs with size, style and colour of grip, shaft orientation, ferrule syle and colours. We have the ability to build your set to the exact look you want, and the specs that allow you to play your best.

  • If you have a set of clubs you love and enjoy then we can definitely assess them and see if we can make any gains by tweaking lie angles, lofts, grips, or updating shafts.

We would strongly caution you against buying new clubs or clubs on online marketplaces ‘to the specs you thought you are’ and then contact us after the fact ‘to see if they’re right for you or we can change some things’.

If you’re in the market for clubs or want to establish what the best clubs and specs are for you then go through a proper custom fitting with us.

If you would like to assess your existing set against the latest technology or for us to see if we can improve the set you’ve had for several years by all means let’s go through a process with an experienced and qualified fitter.

We would love to help you in any way, if you have more questions just email/call us!
